Do you know what the date is today?

Today is the anniversary of the Tiananmen square massacre.

Take a moment to watch this video.

Dictators hope that if they make us afraid to speak the truth for long enough... we'll forget it.

And the next generation will never learn.

This is how history is erased.

A Day to Remember, 2005, by Liu Wei

This video has nothing to do with China or "what about the west and all their atrocities?"

Its about the human condition, and their responses to a simple question that they "can't" answer. There are layers of shame, fear, legit ignorance, and apathy that we can all learn from.

When you're by yourself answering questions in front of a camera, your courage is gonna need to be strong to answer truthfully.

So while we judge them, we also need to put ourselves in their shoes. What would you have said if you were them?

What would we have to gain by actually speaking truth to who knows who? Probably way more to lose..

If I'm being honest, the best I'd do is say " turn off the camera and we can have some real talk"
