Nate Johnson, a U.S. Treasury Department policy advisor has exposed that 23andMe has been secretly sharing customer data with nearly every country.

He claims a hidden clause in their contract allows them to hand over user information to shareholders—all of whom are pharmaceutical companies owned by Russia and China.

California's Attorney General has urged customers to delete their data as 23andMe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
