1. ASICs don’t like to be THAT cold. Typically optimal performance (for air cooled machines) when ambient is between 40 and 55 F.

2. If you’re suggesting any type of off grid operation, it would be far more expensive than just plugging into the grid nearly anywhere else in the developed world.

It would make for some killer photo shoots but REALLY expensive corn.

1. A proper warehouse would allow you to use the stifling outdoor temps to control the hot indoor temps.

2. With a proper time horizon and a good nation state-level deal, hooking directly into Alaska petrol would pay off.

1. You can already do that in less extreme locations.

2. On no time horizon does Bitcoin mining get more profitable, so the elevated OPEX only becomes more of a deterrent over time.
