Did you ever think that Durov might have surrendered himself to the French authorities? He flew direct from Baku to Paris…Why? I don’t think this all thing has anything to do with freedom of speech. He is a CEO of telegram. Do you really think telegram has no backdoors? Whatever is going on with this whole story is fishy. I think Pavel might want to protect his life…Russia wants him. With great power comes great responsibility.

The information so far is that he was arrested for “lack of moderation” which is code for not suppressing free speech enough. 
I think Durov might have defected. Why did he flew to Paris right after he was in Baku. It’s only a theory but please stop that non sense about free speech. It’s all about who is controlling telegram. I feel that everybody is reacting to this story all parroting the same narrative about free speech. Free speech is an illusion as long as platforms are owned by a someone/corporation or gov. If you own a social platform making huge amount of money you’re responsible for it. Look at Elon he is actively censoring and controlling the narrative on X now. Lol
