Took a huge humility pill today on my first #50K race. It was just too soon after the marathon race in mid October.

I was aiming for sub 9:00 /mi and ended up with 9:53 /mi after the wheels came off on mile 21.

Miles 1 - 10: 8:45 /mi

Miles 11 - 20: 8:42 /mi

Miles 21 - 30: 11:45 /mi

that’s a great first 50k time, congrats! Any plans to run another ultra in 2025?

Thanks! Yes I want to run another one this year. I already signed up for the same mid October marathon for 2025 so I might try another 50k around June to give me enough time before the marathon

If you ever need some #ultrarunning advice let me know. Surely not an expert but I have 20 years experience running ultras of all types. Lots and lots of learning from mistakes made along the way.
