The central bank issues a digital currency, and allocates $1200 that can only buy one pound of crickets and 30 minutes of electricity to watch CNN a day

What if universal basic income was actually used as a trojan horse for CBDCs? I could definitely see that happening.

That’s what I think, and a CBDC is probably the only way to make a UBI functional. I know jack is into a UBI, but I don’t see it working without absolute control.
