I can't scan the QR code on the desktop. I typed in the address manually. Alby says amount must be between 100,000 & 100,000,000.

I will try later. Did you maybe create an on-chain address for receiving? Which wallet do you use?
I am trying Unstoppable wallet. Created a BTC wallet. Is the Alby sats also BTC? I can start over if I need to. The wallet is still empty.
Just did a transfer of 8000 sats. No problems here. I assume you created an on-chain address instead of a lightning invoice.
I'm not sure what I should be doing. Any help is appreciated.

Yeah, I see. Don't know that wallet, but it seems it only supports on-chain transactions and not the lightning network.
If you're on Android you could try Phoenix.
What Kc said. Download Phoenix wallet.
Once the app is installed, open it, tap receive on the bottom left, and use that address in Alby. 🤙
