Nostr (luckily) isn't supposed to be a "safe space". It is supposed to be secure (cryptographically).

However, why do the political views of the person who made Nostr matter, in any way? It's not like he can control what gets posted on Nostr.

It's documented, so you can see if there is anything you don't like about Nostr itself. The original author is irrelevant.
