I don't really understand why people think #Gensler was bad for #bitcoin? He was bad for #crypto, no?

He understood the technical workings of bitcoin on a deep level (MIT course). The difference between PoW and PoS. And he actually understood that the rest of crypto are unregistered securities.

Isn't that good for bitcoin? Someone explain this to me.

Rare take and I tend to agree. But he (or some power) held up ETF approvals for 10 long years and only agreed after being sued by GBTC and lost

True. I think Larry Fink calls the shots and phoned Gensler one day telling him it was time to approve 😂
