We sought a number of doctors' recommendations and thought through lots of different possibilities before we tried for a fourth child. We felt that there were risks, but if we were in a good place with a good team, we would be okay. Ever since our marriage 9 years ago, my wife has had a very strong urge to be a mother to a large family. I'm very blessed to have her as a partner.
