Lightning is bitcoin but yes it will send the bitcoin on-chain.
The lightning network is not inherently btc… it’s denominated in btc because we use it on bitcoin
Nothing gets converted when using the lightning network.
Nothing gets converted if you run the lightning network on another cryptocurrency either
Correct. But people keep confusing lightning for a token or some sort of conversion and its not.
