I grew up in the decade of the "moral majority", where people were constantly worrying about the evangelicals taking over and turning the country into a theocratic Jesusland run by moralizing twats obsessed with who was having sex or fun and how they were going about it.

But honestly, the evangelicals never even approached the level of miserable, hen-pecking, pearl-clutching church ladies that the left has turned into. And bluesky is basically what all social media would look like, if they had their way.
