In my experience, those defenses are more about fear than lack of curiosity. I know intelligent, relatively thoughtful people who are put off by the idea Bitcoin, likely because their early impressions of it were negative, or because of how it threatens to dismantle the structure of their perceived security (and they may feel “too late” to take advantage of the life raft).

Then again, I tend to assume the best in people. The ones you’re referring to could certainly be dumb and closed-minded 😆
