Finally got up for a solo flight today...landings were a little rough. I kept coming in high, need to work on that.

Man that’s 🔥
I want to learn how to fly
Do it!! It's so crazy, so much different than anything else in my life.
Being digitally free is nothing when you aren't physically free.
If I may ask where are you from? I’m from the tri state are nyc and lord to just to attend aviation school out here is like 100k who the world has that
I'm training out of Brampton, Ontario.
The whole thing will probably cost like 20-30k spread out over the course of a year and a half.
Respect, brother. Flying ain't easy. Working on my helicopter license, myself. Out in Washington. 🤙🏼
Amazing, helicopters and planes control totally differently.
Are you hoping to turn it into a career?
I tried flying a Robinson R22 once. I loved everything but the vomiting in an open cockpit at 4000 feet. The vomiting probably initiated by my failed attempt to hover in the ground effect for the prior ten minutes. Not easy at first for sure.
Such a cool skill to learn!
It's honestly so much more work than i thought...but I'm loving every moment, except the moments my flights get cancelled because of the weather...
That’s legit! Good for you!
20-30k doesn’t seem bad. Do you get a full license to operate small planes and helicopters alone? Also, I saw you’re from Brampton on the other reply, nice to meet you from a fellow Ontarian (Toronto based). Beautiful weather to fly today.
Helicopters are a whole different thing. At the end of my training I will be able to fly a single engine plane during the day under clouds. I will get other ratings to fly 2 engine planes and be able to fly in and above clouds and then i'll probably stop.
My goal is to be able to fly from Canada to costa rica by myself, possibly making a couple stops to refuel along the way.
That’s awesome. All the best to you in achieving your goals.
Sovereign individual with wings ftw 🙌
