Not quite... Coincidence isn't causation. The cause for the falling apart of society is usury, which was strictly against Christian values. Calvinism brought usury into Christian societies. So there is a correlation, but both the abandonment of Mary and the falling apart of society are effects, and the cause was an incorrect interpretation of scripture.
