I'm not sure. Maybe humans have always been this bad and it's just modern technology letting us document it and see it. Maybe we lost a lot of good people in world wars 1 and 2 that sent society into an imbalance where the good couldn't defend itself against the evil anymore, too outnumbered, so we would have peaked sometime in the early or mid 20th century. Or maybe we've been getting worse way longer than that due to new warfare techniques being found and stuff.

Interesting to think about. The brainwashed bitcoiner in me wants to point at central banking. But I don't really know. Maybe it's been a decline in morality since we starting seeing ourselves as insignificant (around industrial rev I guess) 🤔

Central banking is just an idea. If we keep getting worse the more we come up with bad ideas, we were that bad all along, just without the ideas.

A really terrifying possibility is that we just get worse the more we know. Facts, not ideas. Maybe our morality just depends on being wrong about shit, and when we scientifically understand more of the consequences of our choices, life just gets darker. Escaping this would require unimaginable fundamental change.

Decent reasoning, but I'm snapping out of this doom and gloom.

Life is pretty damn good still. GM 🤗
