I agree with Beave. I like the Mossberg 500, or 590A, pumps are reliable. Stock they can hold 8 2.75” and there are crazy tubular magazine extenders available, even some that are longer than the barrel by a substantial amount. The added benefit is that with a pocket full of shells I could literally never run out of ammunition in a firefight by loading a shell or two in each duck and cover instance between firing. There is a great video by Paul Harrell on YT about this. Also, ammunition variability is amazing in the 12 gauge, this allows you to change your next up on the go.

Theoretically we would be arming these boys with proper ammo to take down the drones
Goose loads with a full choke probably. Slug gun, rifled barrel with a 4x scope? Buckshot in a slug gun is pretty effective too. Personally I alternate, #4 shot, buckshot, and slugs. Sometimes aiming accurately just isn’t possible, at close range stopping the charge with pain can be the priority. Once incapacitated, there is more time to choose your ammunition….or once the drone is on the ground. 😄
Absolutely. Multiple types of ammo is a must. I personally a fan of wax slugs. Dunno if they would be useful in this particular loadout.
I don’t know much about these. I’ll be learning. Thank you.
