The last third of the movie feels a little rushed to me. I still thought those movies did the book justice though.

I would have to read the book but it must surely be better than the movie.
I listened to it on audiobook. It's a really good story. I used to have an hour drive to and from work and I found this top 100 sci-fi audiobooks torrent and downloaded it and put it on a thumb drive. I listened to a lot of really good books that year.
