Using the report feature in #Amethyst will actually highlight the bad content in other clients. Rather than helping minimize it, in some other clients it will appear as if you are promoting scammy and undesirable posts.
This will be fixed in the next version of Amethyst, but something to realize in the meantime. You're not helping by reporting scams and other undesirable notes, your actually helping advertise it and making it worse.
I don't get the "help advertise" part. That's not what reactions do. Nobody ever goes to reaction tabs and most clients don't even have it. Keep in mind that reports are massively useful for clients and relays (many relays delete posts based on reactions).

Using reactions in addition to 1984 reports inadvertently calls attention to these notes in other clients.
I know it wasn't your intention, but it is the reality of the situation. I'm just letting people know this is the case. You'll note I also pointed out this will be fixed in a future release.
Right, but you could say the same thing for reports since other clients use 1984 events to boost content of their liking (like porn/CSAM-loving clients).
Everything you do in nostr can be used to draw attention to posts. Even simple view counts are being tracked by relays and added to boost posts, regardless if they are spam or not. Regardless if you approved or not.
However, the only kinds that are supposed to and explicitly designed to bring attention to posts are reposts.
Everything else is the sole responsibility of the other client that is misusing the kind to give extra visibility to posts.

Idk what definition of "censorship" you're using but it's definitely not accurate if it doesn't fit a mass muting campaign on Jack Dorsey's malware model where it results in algorithmic suppression
Calling your definition inaccurate might be arguable if you were talking about a single person's mute against a high-follower npub, but in this case there's no sincere disagreement to have, you're just being disingenuous to gaslight me and waste my time as you always do when attempting to venture out of your bubble and interact with me
I mute people to cultivate my own feed, I don't care what the whole world thinks. Free speech includes me choosing what speech I want to listen to. My mute list is private, so it isn't causing you any harm.
If I have a good post that you would repost, you won't see it
I've called you out on times you were wrong in the past and probably was overly hostile about it and your chosen response to me as a low follower count npub is to make it harder for me to gain any traction
This is why a decentralized version of the Aaron Swartz model would be better for censorship than a decentralized version of the Jack Dorsey model
Being free to say "I don't like this" is freedom of speech too. Freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from criticism.
