california has no water. the environmental reality is: corporate interests have always placed profit over prudence, and built artificial oases in arid lands. they have brokered policies for 75 years which rob aquifers, subsidise irresponsible farming techniques and placement, and have never invested in desalinisation. california politics have warped their voters into a fanatical social media bubble which refuses to manage their own interests in reality in favour of shadow "safety".
and once again, i point out, despite gross mismanagement of civil systems, the emergency responders still respond when underfunded, disrespected, unprotected, and isolated from networks which amplify real needs.
