Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said in a recent interview with CBS News that Iran could resume producing highly enriched uranium “within months.” His comments follow recent U.S. and Israeli strikes that, according to Grossi, inflicted significant—but not total—damage to at least three Iranian nuclear facilities.

“I would say they could have a few cascades of centrifuges spinning and producing enriched uranium in a matter of months—or even less,” Grossi said. “Iran still has the necessary industrial and technological capabilities in place.”
