That doesn’t make any sense though did they specifically say this or is this in the CBDC code somewhere?

How does that not makes sense? Of course this is where it's heading. The digital Yuan already has an expiry date function built in and WEF/BIS/CB cronies have been spouting this as a great way to "protect" the masses for years. This absolutely will be one of the "features" of CBDCs, no question.
