What are they gathered for?

Globalism is tightening the noose in Spain. The people have had enough.

Bring back Franco!!

If spaniards really had enough of Globalism, they would support Catalunia's independence which is actually a step towards Localism.

Youre right. They cant pass your purity test. They should pack it up πŸ€“

They really should, standing up in crowds holding signs is stupid, childish and rarely changes things. Most of the times, protestors are just being weaponized by an opposing political group to reinforce a narrative in the media.

In 1 month, none of these thousands of people will give a single fuck about this issue, they won't even remember it.

Dont cry buddy. Ask mommy for a juice box and a pat on the bottom, the take a nap on your Sargon of Akkad pillow. Being right about everything is hard work.

That's it? You really argue like a pussy

You cant offend me my friend β€οΈπŸ€“

Go do something youre good at! It’s a better use of your time!

Catalonia's self-appointed leaders as as badly globalist, or worse, than Spain's.

The demonstrations, and the broader decades-long anti-independence campaign, are simply good old Spanish ultranationalism and anti-Catalan xenophobia. That's the drug of choice of the Corporatist fascist globalist regime to keep the Spanish plebs tame.

In Catalonia nationalism has failed, it simply does not exist, even though the pro-independence camp would clearly win in a clean election. But those (Nation vs State) are separate issues right now as far as the overwhelming majority of Catalans is concerned. The drug of choice of the globalist corporatist regime for them is much more mainstream - ESG, "progressivism", and "the current thing" -- with the caveat that being a wannabe communist intellectual colony of 1960's France, Catalans are rabidly anti-American and pro-Palestine.

What are we really arguing here?

There's no such thing as a "good politician", not in Madrid or Catalonoa.

Power should be as much geographically distributed as possible to limit the size, scope and scale of the State. Fragmentation and balkanization are good things even if the local leaders are "bad".

I'm arguing against nostr:npub1vyrx2prp0mne8pczrcvv38ahn5wahsl8hlceeu3f3aqyvmu8zh5s7kfy55 's uninformed and misinforming comment about those demonstrations. They have nothing to do with people being fed up with globalism - exactly the opposite. The demos are pure fascism, so they are promoting the globalist fascist corporatist regime, really.

And by the way, I am a Catalan who is obviously in favor of independence. On nationalistic grounds, not because "it's the current thing" like many Catalans. And yes, because I believe power must be fragmented and as close to the individual as possible, I also think a Catalan State should be devoid of power, to get us as close as possible to a confederation of freely associated individuals.

You're clueless. Let's leave it at that.

You lack the authority to define that. πŸ€“ Go project your self defeating anger elsewhere!

Fascism.
