It is a killer feature for value-for-value enthusiasts and I wholly enjoy it.

But it is equally a mood killer for new people. Whilst our clients are improving, Snort now has a not-very-small "wallet widget" in the top left and it /bothers/ me.

Now how would someone from the mainstream, that largely knows crypto for scams, pays their monthly streaming bills and has never interacted with something like LBRY or Brave's things? There would be associations being made that wouldn't be right.

Eventhough Tiktok and Twitch have a "value for value" feature (they market it as such but its really not, lol) they don't constantly hold a wallet in your face.

I dunno if it is due to the recent developments in the bitcoin space in particular, but even Will is now posting about wanting to make a wallet integrated into Damus...? Why?

I mean, sure, I can just use different clients to avoid features I don't like but - at least from what i can see - the focus on adding more "money" features to Nostr is high... very high, in fact. And I just think that this isn't the right direction to take... But, it's just me, and I havent contributed a line of code - so what do I know. xD Just something that I had on my mind, in the end...
