But look at what is happening at ICANN and the other low-level hardware connection points on the backbones. It's REALLY not hard to shut things down in a hurry.

Yes, but ICANN isn't strictly under US control now, which more than a little pisses me off, since we are still one of the few cuntries that still gives lip service to freedom.

Anything the US is involved in is under US control because they can just destroy everything on a whim. Everyone lives or dies by their mood.

But serious, yes, which is why nostr needs to move beyond DNS and even HTTP. IMO.
