Dragon Ball fighting games always struggle to be good BC they have an identity crisis.
Do they want an absurd fast paced visual spectacle or a readable competitive experience?
Do they want to emphasize a diversity of style with many paths to win, or do they want to make the flashier, stylish options overpowered?
The thing that makes Dragon Ball's art style great for a vidya also makes it hard to build balanced mechanics. Very few have gotten it right, most that did succeed are PS2 era.
