Poland has announced it will fully close its border with Belarus, including all rail crossings, starting Thursday at 12:00 a.m. This move comes in response to the Russian-led large-scale military exercise “Zapad-2025,” set to take place from September 12–16 in Belarus and Western Russia. The drills may include the use of nuclear weapons and intermediate-range ballistic missiles. NATO forces in Poland and the Baltics are expected to conduct their own exercises along the border in response.
