Kash Patel used his statistics to justify the border closure and to push their congress to do so, so those stats are "from the horses mouth" per say.

There have been 90 emergencies declared in the US since 1917. 8 have been declared by the Trump admin since January.

stats are not making sense when you think about it

The stats are real, they're just not that shocking in a country of 350m people, but they *sound* bad.
