Reflecting on my trip to The Gambia 🇬🇲 What a beautiful, unspoilt, wild country, with incredibly kind, free spirited people.

Thanks to Angelika and Michaela from IN-US* for embracing #bitcoin, and inviting me to present & deliver a workshop with community and business leaders.

There were multiple additional meetings and workshops, with an endless stream of interested parties wanting to learn more.

The Gambian economy is cash based and the currency, the Dalsai, is free-floating and trending to zero relative to the dollar; and we all know where that’s going!

Thanks to the team’s efforts, the event outcomes were as follows:

✅ Local core team formed.

✅ Monthly #Bitcoin meet-up established (first meeting to be held on May 1st and repeated monthly thereafter).

✅ Logo and website WIP.

✅ First hotel to accept bitcoin onboarded.

✅ First group of restaurants and bars identified.

✅ First national visitor experience operator onboarded.

✅ First taxi group onboarded.

✅ First bitcoin ATM planned for the country.
