Sunday trip to the market,

Bought food for the week.

Got a new hobby—vacuum-sealing meat and learning to cook it sous-vide (second photo).

Today's purchases:

- 2 kg of full-fat cottage cheese

- 1 kg of heavy cream

- 40 eggs

- 3.5 kg of beef belly (beautiful marbled cuts)

- 3 kg of some other beef cut

- 1 kg of steaks from the same place to try their quality

Total: ~80$

Tip: dont cool it sous-vid, you basically marinate your meat in mincroplastics. Better learn how to reverse sear and using low temp cooking for better result than sous vide 😊

good advise, I’ll look forward what it reverse sear

Any meat more than 1.5 inch thick you should cook at around 225f until the core temp is about 115f. Take it off the heat and sear at molten lava hot heat untill you get a nice brown crust (mailard reaction) - you want the core temp about 130f when done searing 😊

Dont rest the meat - slice and serve/eat right away.

Do you or your body miss fruits or vegetables or cravings for something else?

I believe I developed cravings for butter and fat )

I might think about something when I’m very tired and haven’t eaten enough. For example, after a workout, I could crave a protein bar. Last time I was tired and hungry, I ate a fatty burger with a lot of meat.

I don’t completely miss vegetables and fruits.

Very interesting learnings thanks for sharing brother. Hope you’re feeling great 💪🏼👊🏼
