Omg lol 😂

Well, in photoshoot the food / drinks are usually not as they appear.

MASHED POTATOES is often times used for outdoor shoots of ice cream because it won’t melt.

FABRIC PROTECTOR is used on pancakes because they absorb syrup quickly, so photographers use fabric protector to prevent this. Sometimes they also use motor oil instead of syrup!

SHOE POLISH is often times used to mimic grill marks (they just paint it on) since meat isn’t always actually grilled for photography.

SHAVING CREAM is used in place of whipped cream because it holds up longer (won’t melt) and can be shaped how the photographer wants it to look.

SPRAY DEODORANT can be used to make fruit look extra shiny in a photoshoot.

I’m sure there are others, I just can’t remember all.

Insane isn’t it? I’m a little bit familiar with that kind of stuff. But it still blows my mind how they do that 😅 the motor oil part in particular is crazy. Sometimes they also use white glue instead of milk to represent milk in cereal commercials

Yeah
