I don’t see anything wrong with asking questions in good faith, which i believe you did, although my opinion of your curiosity doesn’t really matter. That is why i (hopefully!) wasn’t shitting you in my comment as some seem to have been.
But since you want my opinion on it, i would say you might’ve been a little confused or misdirected judging by the mention of a central committee to determine bitcoin’s value. Guy’s response above is great i think. No hard feelings over here whatsoever 🤙
Yeah, I realize I might have come across as a little too aggressive with my tone, but I stand by everything I wrote despite that. I get tired of seeing variations of the same memes and hype quotes recycled on a daily basis and want to take part in some more focused discussion from time to time.
It's pretty interesting to me that the committee thing has been commented on several times. I think that people misunderstood me there... there's clearly a significant amount of sensitivity to even an implication of such a thing in the community. I was just writing the random musings in my head, I never wanted to imply that a committee of any kind is *actually* needed.
Of course, i didn’t take it as any kind of recommendation personally. The very concept of it is kind of silly though
I totally commend your pursuit of more focused discussions too. This one just wasn’t received the way you were, which is never fun for the asker, but ultimately no one’s gonna hold a grudge for it. And if they do that person’s just a dick 😂
