In this last election cycle, I often found myself recalling that passage from 1 Samuel as I watched folks who otherwise claimed a disdain for government expressing support for Trump. The allure of empire is just as strong now as it was then.

The lust for power is overwhelming in far too many otherwise apparently intelligent and rational people...

I continually struggle, attempting to refine my ability to communicate these truths, even to well meaning fellow Christians; folks who, like everyone, all our lives have been immersed in statist propaganda...

I appreciate your attempts. I’ve mostly been contemplating in silence because I rarely meet folks who are willing or able to engage in productive conversation. Or perhaps I’m still too unskilled to communicate effectively. I look forward to taking a closer look at your work.
