Nostr ecash UX is getting insanely slick and we haven't even written a single NIP yet.
- Someone sendt me ecash via nostr DM from their eNuts wallet
- I see a beautifully rendered modal in Amethyst instead of the ugly Cashu string
- I press the "open with" button on the Amethyst modal and automatically my Cashu wallets pop up, I choose Minibits today
- I press receive and it's done
The number of tools working so well together still boggles my mind.
Been watching all the development from a far, it's really starting to pick up steam. Today I dive in!
Ey calle did you already created the list of mints you trust? It would be great to improve the discoverability and trustworthiness of mints. One idea is that if the mint has or it's represented by an npub, users can find them on nostr, make comments, and reviews about them, and And potentially this npub would be used to communicate mint-related announcements. Epoch, proof of liabilities etc you know 🤙
Have you looked at Oxchat cashu wallet super slick I also like the whole mint idea and the ability to run my own mint via LNbits love it all
Cashu is just that thing that made bitcoin custodial-ity more spicy and better looking. Self-custody is always better off course, but if all custodials run with it Bitcoin industry would be so much better.
Plus, that's so simple and clever.
