I don't think that's the reason WoS was removed from US (as they removed from Google Play also in US). It's more to do with more rigorous KYC norms and penalties for Bitcoin & other cryptocurrencies.

If WoS is not available in iOS in Japan, then yeah, this is a good chance it will be back.
