They always find excuses to not take bitcoin. I am from El Salvador and suffer this in the majority of places. A very few places takes bitcoin happily. 💔
Had my first Ceviche in El Tunco. Of course asked to pay with Bitcoin. The owner explained that they had signed up for the payment system (wtf) and it is still not ready (since a week or so). When I tried to on-board him to a custodial such as nostr:npub13ljnkd633c7maxatymv3y2fqq8vt3qk7j3tt0vytv90eztwgha9qmfcfhw of course the phone had no battery.
Ceviche was 10/10 very tasty.

@rob it is true, I also encountered those excuses. Which is fine, because during daily business they might have not the capacity.
On the other hand, I must say it was very positive paying with Bitcoin in El Salvador:
- San Salvador
- Ataco
- Juajuga
- Zonte
- Tunco
In most cases it was Strike or Blink. One time it was Chivo App. My experience with Chivo ATMs was supee bad though..
