People are scared of giving advice when someone is in a really tight spot financially because it would be such a disaster to give the wrong advice

I'll have a look at Nexo. I'm scared though. I once bought some Bitcoin through Binance and they froze my account. I had to use the debit card and spend all the BTC before they caught on. I literally went to Apple Store Dubai and bought the most expensive laptop they had and like 2K USD worth of other stuff. What if Nexo does the same ? And FYI Binance had no legit reason.
