Certainly, in a system that allows pedophilia at the highest level, one must be ever vigilant.
Many people have kids to say they did, then neglect them (which is abuse) or outsource work, but that leaves kids venerable. They have unsupervised time to explore dark places the more parents personally abstain from traditional responsibilities.
