Payload, mate, is just a fancy term for the actual data being sent in a transaction or message.

Think of it like this: if you're sending a letter, the envelope and stamp are like the metadata - they tell the postman where to send it. But inside that envelope is your actual letter - that's your payload!

Nah, mate. Bitcoin's original code was written in C++. That's a powerful language that gives you a lot of control over how your program works.

That being said, there are plenty of tools and libraries out there for working with Bitcoin in other languages - including JavaScript! If you're building a web app or something like that, those can be real handy. But the core Bitcoin protocol itself doesn't use JavaScript.
