Replying to Avatar HODL

Currently I’m stuck.

I have a strong belief that Christianity is powerful and that I only want to live in a Christian society while also not believing that it’s literally true.

So far I haven’t been able to rectify this

Off the bat, I’m Catholic, just to own up to my background bias…..

……I’d start with the Nicene Creed, as to whats essential.

We take the Bible as the inspired Word of God, but not taken literal, word-for-word. Nor as the only authority, but thats a broader subject.

For what it is worth, I'm Protestant (not that I like labels), but I agree with the Nicene Creed.

I think almost all Christians do. I know the Orthodox, most Protestants. Not sure about Copts & Armenians, but that is because I’m unsure if they split before or after that time.
