I don't think so, but it does prevent many from opening their eyes to Drivechain, which could cure Bitcoin from many of its issues.
Plot twist.
Laziness and carelessness rather than stubbornness imo. People are generally lazy - not a judgement but an observation. Blame fiat lifestyle.
If Bitcoin filled a hole in your beliefs that wasn't being served by the Fiat system, you might be made whole again, but as your Fiat self + Bitcoin as a personality trait.
That's not really Bitcoin adoption so much as a belief system hotfix. I feel like those are the people who won't pursue other freedom tech because that's not actually why they support Bitcoin.
