Looks like an interesting course. I’m sure I sat through at least 20 hours of listening to my dad explaining how a car works when I was a kid! He was never a professional mechanic but did used to fix some things himself. Cars have changed a fair bit since then but it has been useful to have picked up some of that knowledge.

That sounds like a wonderfully important experience. So far, the course is quite detailed, visual, and not hard to understand. I'm enjoying it. I've already learned so much.

The internal combustion engine is one of my favourite and most interesting inventions, besides the bicycle 🚲

Van build update: Engine work begins.

Finished all the available course videos (14+ hrs). I plan to swap the motor and transmission with crate/new models. Until then, I'm going to pull this one, fix it, and put it back together so I can handle most maintenance and repairs on the road.

Until I bought the course, I knew very little about cars. Now, I feel confident that I can rebuild one. Highly recommend (check it out below). Wish me luck.

Under the hood:

Some of this stuff—like the new radiator—isn't even bolted down. This is what you get when you buy a '97 step van for $2,200. It's got great bones (GMC with a P32 chassis), and it's a perfect restoration project. I will have learned much by the time I finish.

In the cab:

Pulled the carpet and floor liner when I removed the steel cargo gate. There's a rusted out spot that needs fixing on the passenger side floorboard, but I'll get to that later when I swap the seats.

This is really neat. Thank you for sharing.

I really like it. It's very detailed and easy to understand. And you can't beat the amount of material for the early-bird price (if it's still available). I would have easily paid $500+ for the course. Even if he never adds another video, it is well worth that and more.

Interestingly, our vehicles these days cover a very large spectrum of science and engineering. It's quite amazing how much goes into them.

Does it let you download the courses or do you need internet/access to a platform?

Sorry, I missed this answer on the info page at first. Thanks!
