I think people underestimated the power of traditional finance on bitcoin when the etfs started.

Big finance will leverage derivates to dampen the upside (leveraged bitcoin, or paper bitcoin). Thus fuckery wouldn't be possible if people moved off exchanges , but there you have it.

Exchanges have bitcoin, so tradfi will paper bitcoin.
