I dont know you or Calle but have listened to quite some cashu / ecash podcasts over the years. Literal quote from Calle, Citadel Dispatch #120 March 2024, around the 1h35min mark: "ecash is not bitcoin, it just works with bitcoin".

That quote is part of a larger and quite nuanced answer in response to the question "Do you consider ecash a scaling solution for bitcoin". He very clearly says he does not and repeats the need to be "extremely pedantic" with these definitions several times, to prevent people from getting wrecked/rekt.

Again, I dont know him or you, but this feels like an unfair representation of what hes saying about cashu and tbh, just feels like internet fighting for the sake of internet fighting. Which I guess I'm now contributing to via this reply, but whatever.
