Bro haha idk if you ever worked in food service but some people will tip a penny which is super insulting. Right now 1 sat is worth 0.0006 of a dollar lol

I was using food services as an example because of the tipping. A zap is basically a tip for a nostr post. But imagine talking to a friend and you say something he likes so he sends you 1 sat. That would annoy me because the time it would take to pull out my phone and look at the notification is worth more than the 1 sat. Time is money haha

When I post on nostr I don't expect anything. It's not a job. Honestly, I'm happy if people even see it. Like, comment or share is incredible. 1 sat tip would make my day lol. I come from a social media world where I dedicated years of my life to content and barely saw any money. One should do what he does for the love of it, not expectations imo.
Tips for work are a whole nother can of worms that I don't quite believe in either. Employers should cover the cost of their labor not pass it on to their customers imo. To tip and be generous is an amazing quality, but one should not expect it from others. It's gotten out of control. We live in a world of expectations and entitlements. #bitcoin and #nostr reflect opposite principals imo
