First azalea on my ride. These fuchsia colored ones are my favorite. You can really see the nectar on the stamen, pistil, or whatevs it is. This is the business end for honeybees!

Isn’t azalea honey poisonous?

Mountain Laurel is purportedly so. I do not know where any of these bloom in our area. I once read that rhododendron (cousin of azalea) honey had something that bothered some people.

Such a shame on mountain laurel, I love those flowers and they are everywhere on the family property.

They smell divine, too. Bees will avoid them, I’ve read. Bees ain’t no dummies!
