When people try to get me to read the latest New York Times best seller I always say. No, I would rather not.

My reason:

If the book is at least three years old and people are still talking about it I might reconsider. I am quite occupied reading the books that are thousands of years old that people actually worship to this day. The books that are hundreds of years old that people still discuss with passion. The

books that are decades old that leave people with revelations and hours of ponderance and rumination.

Your "current thing" best seller is only popular because the authors buddies bought a couple thousand and handed it out to all his employees at a year end conference in Hong Kong.

Ask Robert B Reich how his piece of trash books got sold by the hundreds of thousands. Fucking pathetic fraud.

I digress and already I destroyed the simple point I was trying to make.

TLDR

Old book, much loved good.

New book, much hype dumb.
