So what happens if you want to delete a post you made earlier? Is that possible? Or are we stuck with whatever we posted for all eternity?
You are stuck. You can ask relays to delete it. But people can keep a copy of your signed (and thus verifiable) message

Kinda like a tweet. It can be deleted but it's always possible that someone took a screenshot or otherwise saved it somehow (of course it's not cryptographically verifiable)
