The NYT uncovers the nutcase left's answer to creepy right-wing moguls like Dick Uihlein who fund reactionary groups in the dark--a creepy left-wing mogul, Neville Roy Singham, who secretly bankrolls an array of far-left groups that act as useful idiots for the Chinese Communist Party. Some of these groups, such as Code Pink, seem to have found Singham's money good enough to do a complete U-turn about the CCP's oppression of its own people.

I can't get over Singham being both a millionaire and an admirer of Mao Zedong. It's mindboggling that anybody, much less a guy who got rich from selling the tech consultancy* he founded, would see Maoism as the answer to anything but "how to cause the deaths of tens of millions of people through disastrous policies?"
