i'm not certain but i think that probably industrial music was the first samploors
just one simple example, youtube dates it at 15 years ago but i bet this was actually made long before that

i knew of samplers as a hardware back in like 1987 or so, and a heap of the industrial artists i know of today got their start in the late 80s, Suicide Commando, Funker Vogt, hell, what was that old one, Kraftwerk
